I felt like this day is a repeat of how devastated Manila was, back in 2009, when typhoon Ondoy released his wrath in just a short span of time. A lot of us were really caught unprepared. I, for instance, took it as a heavy rain shower and just ignored it by continuing my weekend dose. Who would have thought that it will lead to a traumatic experience, especially to those who live near the riverbanks and catch basin areas? For once, mother nature appealed to take it as a wake up call. Needless to say, our country remains a magnet of series of unfortunate events.
Now that nature strikes back and once again our beloved country is battling with this catastrophe, we can only extend our helping hands to reach out with our fellow brothers and sisters. I am re-posting this old entry of mine to spread awareness on how we can show compassion to those in need.
