All I really want to say is thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's been a long and tough journey since college but we made it through. We made everything possible even as exact opposites and we stood tall in all the decisions we made together. Thank you for loving me, unconditionally. Thank you for accepting every inch of my flaws. Thank you for giving the utmost respect to my Mother. And most of all, thank you for being that father Daphne deserves to have. I am very proud of what you have become and will continue to be and I look forward to sharing life with you until each strand turns grey. Thank you for coming into my life thirteen years ago. It would have been by all odds different if I didn't meet the man who brings out the best in me. Love, Mommy.

Prepping Up for Summer

Today is the first Sunday of March 2013 and we now look forward to the start of another red hot summer. My Little Lady Is Now Two

Last week, my little lady celebrated her second birthday. Time flies so fast, I can still remember how I used to help her exercise her neck so she can slowly start moving her head. The best bonding moments we have were either on our bed or in her crib. Now, all she wants aside from drinking milk and eating her happy foods is to run as fast as she could and play with other kids. To support her with these, we allow her to engage to an active lifestyle and interact with kids at her age. 

Instead of giving her a party this year, hubby and I decided to take her outdoor. We left around 3pm and headed to Serendra. It's supposedly her scheduled nap time so she was very sleepy on our way there. Our first few photos can tell that she's not in the mood. But upon walking towards BHS, her face brightened up when she saw the spacious grass surface. There were kids older than her running here and there. Without further hesitation, she ran towards the middle not minding the scorching heat. Buti nalang mahangin and of course we prepared enough drinking water. Hanging flowers can also be seen so she picked random flowers which she held for hours. She was really happy and we were entertained looking how she mimics other kids. As in she would speak loud enough for everyone to hear in the playground!

 

We also took her to Cupcakes by Sonja and got her favourite red velvet and pistachio cupcakes. Week before that, we already asked her what she wanted to eat on her birthday and when I suggested spaghetti, she answered with a big OK and smiled! She must have enjoyed running a lot that it made her too hungry to almost finish a full plate of spaghetti. I know, in my heart, that she truly enjoyed this day. That joy is just fulfilling as a parent. I mean, we can give her  a fancy party but sometimes it's best to let our kids realize that happiness isn't always about material things. Though we provide them that, it's not supposed to be the basis of joy. We truly hope and pray that we can instill that in her heart and mind as she grows..

We love you very much, my darling, and we are so proud of your little achievements.

Life has been more colorful because of you..
