My Holiday Rant

While everyone is enjoying their beach trips and long weekend rest, here I am, bored and wanting to put the clock on fast forward. Just knowing that most people are on “lazy day” today made me more envious, imagining a supposedly one lovely day with my little girl.

It was nice traveling this morning though. I usually ask the cab driver to take the White Plains - Ortigas route when going to work but I decided to try EDSA this time. The holidays didn’t spare me though on those crazy, arrogant bus drivers! I’ll name it: Dimple Star bus. He was rushing another cab driver to make a left turn just so he could get more passengers. Note: he was as if threatening to bump his trunk and if I’ve clearly seen it, there’s someone in the backseat! Our government should really impose strict traffic rules and higher amount of penalties. We can’t just let reckless driving take away lives, more importantly our loved ones.

I remember a young lady last Saturday while I was in Healthway Shangrila. She could hardly walk because of those full-length metal brace on her right leg. The stitches were still visible and the wounds are deep. It seemed like the accident was just days ago. Too bad no one accompanied her for her follow up check. I can’t stand looking at her condition which leads me back to my trauma on bus drivers. Honestly, I really wish buses will be eliminated from our main roads. I’ve never seen any bus here in Manila who cares much on their passenger’s safety. Sad but true. A room for error doesn’t apply here.

So what’s my point then? I put the blame on these holidays which triggered back my trauma. I should be cuddling my baby for 4 days and should’ve had more time for some girly pampering. Ha ha!

I’ll trade double pay, I swear! :)

Happy 6th Month

My baby girl is turning 6 months old in 2 days time and now the stage mother is caught up again with brilliant ideas! LOL! Yes, I call it brilliant, everything about Daphne is where I’m very much proficient at! :)

I remember weeks ago, she started blurting out words like “da da” and “me me”. I almost jumped in so much awe hearing it first time from her! The thought that she already recognized who’s “me me” and “da da” is one of our greatest achievement. It means that our presence, may it be short on week days due to work, has been instilled in her mind and left a mark that we are her proud parents. I can also decipher that as young as she is now, she can already feel the love and care surrounding her.

I just love witnessing her advance progress. She’s been a lot active (her play gym can attest to that), she never had a hard time adjusting with solids, she laughs and giggles so loud, she loves cartoon commercials with jolly soundtracks (she stops whatever she’s engaged with), she’s been crawling and pushing her pillows and stuffed toys. She portrays a perfect picture of pure innocence and joy. *Sigh, I miss her now*

Anyways, I’ll post photos of our simple birthday treats for her as soon as I can. :)

Mini-Reunion

Batch Reunion

Our much awaited mini-reunion after 14-oh-soooo-long years! I was hoping to bring Daphne with me but the weather made it impossible. It's just so amazing seeing my high school friends who flew from Cebu. Though we still keep in touch through social sites, it's a lot different meeting them again in person.
Anyway, this is just the first and we look forward to more merry getaways!

Cheers, classmates! :-)

My Style

Me and my friends decided to spend our Saturday night over booze and cocktails. Here’s another dreamy outfit I have in mind. My theme is Fire vs Gold. :)

I’ve also added a coat in case we drag ourselves for some coffee-after-party bonding.

Try POLYVORE! It’s fun having an online dreamy closet! :)

I’m not old enough to play baseball or football. I’m not eight yet. My mom told me when you start baseball, you aren’t going to be able to run that fast because you had an operation. I told Mom I wouldn’t need to run that fast. When I play baseball, I’ll just hit them out of the park. Then I’ll be able to walk.

I’m guilty for not posting blogs recently. Workload has been pretty much heavy since third week of July and I am expecting more come September.

Despite my hectic work schedule, I never missed a chance to be with my cute lil’ daughter. I’m proud that I have managed my time accordingly without leaving priorities unattended. I guess being a Mom helped me more in balancing my time. I have continuously fulfilled all my tasks and errands each weekend, a big smile is always painted before jumping into our bed.

Talk about weekend, I’m expecting few of my high school friends visiting from the South (Cebu). Time for a much needed mini-reunion after more than a decade. My memory card should be prepared for surely hundreds of photos to be taken. I’ll post some of them soon. :)

This past business week has been overloaded! It’s almost COB and I still have one pending task to complete. Sometimes, I just wish I could fly that easily to Sydney to get things done on time. No matter how advanced your preparations were, if the other party is not cooperating, tasks are hardly completed on the agreed date.. AND I DON’T LIKE IT!

Two hours and twenty-eight minutes to produce hundreds of PDF files and 4 monthly reports.. I can do this!

I deserve a margarita after shift. WORD!

Thought Bubbles

I believe that life is a journey, often difficult and sometimes incredibly cruel, but we are well equipped for it if only we tap into our talents and gifts and allow them to blossom.
