Product Review: Wacoal Undergarments

IMG_0462

It's been exactly 21 days since I received an invite from Wacoal Philippines to do a product review. At first, I got really nervous as I haven't done anything similar on behalf of an internationally known brand but when I recall the enthusiasm I had when I entered the Wacoal's bloggers' contest courtesy of Nuffnang in June, it finally sink in that this is what I wished for so let's carry on with the challenge!

I decided to visit Wacoal's head office in Makati on a Thursday afternoon to avoid the upcoming storm on weekend. I was personally assisted by Miss Michelle who gave me a short tour and introduction of all the undergarments they currently offer.  Below are Wacoal's latest arrivals - a complete set of gorgeous lingerie that every women would love to have. Although lacey bras are the least I consider when choosing what to buy, Wacoal has been an exemption as they use a soft lace with smooth microfibers. I once tried a lacey bra that eventually became stiff after a number of hand wash. It really made me uncomfortable inside and further caused skin itchiness.

Looking at these products, without a doubt it shows that Wacoal knows what our body exactly needs. They have a complete line of undergarments for ladies in their early 20's, 30's and 40's. The color, design and purpose sets these lines apart from each target market.

I was then asked what type of undergarment do I want to have so I chose something similar to the long padded bra that I featured in my entry or any corset type but unfortunately only skin tone color is available. BUT it wasn't a sad day for me because they recently introduced this extra-ordinary body shape-wear.

It has a soft nylon texture, with front-open closure and is perfect when wearing fitted clothes or anything in flowing fabric. Say goodbye to random bulges and worries of getting caught in awkward angles.
I say, this will surely help me improve my silhouette! I look forward to wearing this in an event towards the end of the month.

It may somehow have a different texture inside but still has a soft finish.

Indeed, it is quite expensive among other brands but we all know that better stuff comes with a price. I'm so happy to finally own one! ^^

I also chose this seamless padded bra in skin tone worth Php985. The pads looked big to me at first but Michelle explained that we should always choose a bra that supports the firmness of the entire breast. Those fats at the sides below armpits (if you have any)  are still part of the breasts and must be properly supported to avoid sagged skin. Remember that as we age, the changes in our body are inevitable too. These soft pads are not awkward to wear and at my age, a wired bra is a must.

Always read and follow the care instructions.

Thank you so much Wacoal Philippines for this wonderful opportunity and for these lovely tokens.
Like what I mentioned in my blog contest entry, I will surely grace all upcoming events in full confidence with the help of your magical undergarments.

  1. I haven't tried Wacoal yet, but would love to in the future. I compared wacoal and triumph (my current fave).. and price points do not differ much. :)

  6. Michelle assisted me too during the Nuffnang event. I got the long padded bra and a couple of non-wire padded bras. Wacoal undergarments are the best!
