I was very lucky to be invited as one of the participants of this fabulous make up workshop by Dior through Rustan's Beauty Source. The workshop was hosted by HMUA Lourd Ramos and was held at the Spices Pavilion, Manila Peninsula Hotel. Being a brand known internationally with the face of Kate Moss on print covers, I bet you know the hype I had when I was on my way to the venue.
It’s surprising that young girls aged 8 and 14 were also there to join. And when I asked, well, they don’t just like make ups, they LOVE them! Like is an understatement. My heart almost jumped! Unlike other make up workshops, we were given the chance to do it on our own and Dior make up specialists were there to guide us.
We did day and night make up using all the products of Dior. Prior to make up session, we were taught how to cleanse, tone and moisturize our face doing the C section way. I never really thought that there’s a proper way of applying these and not just rubbing or massaging your face and you’re done. I enjoyed doing my day make up because I’m fond of ultra-shimmery but the night make up took me over. Here are the make up pallettes I used. Gosh, I love all their brush sets!
Attempted to take a picture of myself with shimmery eyes. Failed.
That smoky eye shadow looks very simple when Lourd was the one applying it to the model but you just really need to be careful with your strokes to avoid making your eyes look too small. According to him, the latest trend for a smoky effect is applying dark eye shadows beneath the eyes. Tip: you can use your eye pencil for that smudgy look.
Above all products, I got really fascinated with the beauty of Dior's Black Tie Lipstick. It's so strong and vibrant, giving that extra confidence and strong impression to a woman. It's soft in the lips and it doesn't feel heavy even it looks plum and thick. No need to retouch after coffee or meals.
Everyone surely enjoyed this workshop. Never a dull moment with an energetic host.

You know these girls will turn into gorgeous ladies in no time. I met their Mom, Briana from Hong Kong.

Thank you so much Dior and Rustan's Beauty Source for this productive afternoon and for the new additions to my collection. The experience is truly amazing. Too bad hubby is in an out-of-town project to see my pretty make up. ^^
Much Love,

Ah! I've always wanted to learn how to do that smoky eye look - THE PROPER WAY. Maybe you could do a tutorial in the coming days.

Hi Tina! Sorry for my late rely. Well I really wish I'm a make up pro so I could teach how to do the smoky eye. Maybe after enrolling at CAS. :)
