Let’s Move & Let’s Love

Since I became a first time Mommy 18 months ago, I came to realize that a Mother's love is indeed without boundaries. I used to think of myself alone and my personal needs, I realized how selfish I was without considering a thought of extending a major act of kindness to anyone who is very much in need. All I know is that I need to earn so I can maintain a lifestyle and travel as much as I can, without even sparing an amount as any form of pledge.

Now, my eyes have finally seen a lot of distressed families, especially those affected during the recent typhoons whom I thought I can help in my own little ways. I watched one documentary a few months ago about the suffering of a single Mother who's painfully watching her kids' situation. There is no mode of transportation in their area so these kids need to walk about six to seven kilometers back and forth just to reach their primary school. They said that they can bear the long walk even in barefoot however what's more challenging is the fact that they need to stay at school for a day without having anything to eat. Aside from that, oftentimes they can't even afford to buy a pen or paper.

I was so moved and burst into tears while watching it, saddened by the fact that some of these kids decided to stop studying at the middle of the school year. I then placed myself in the Mother's situation and felt the agony if you are unable to give the best education that you want for your child, especially to your kids who are more than willing to learn from school.

This led me to a small step which is to pledge a few amount each day that can certainly help one deserving kid here in our country. Having your own foundation is like shooting the moon but why not share the love by having one scholar for a school year to start with? The idea makes me truly happy as a person and as a Mom, and after series of research, I've come up with the best organization who can support this advocacy.

Having said all these, it's never too late dear friends so let's move and let's love! Now's the time to act with kindness may it be with a good gesture or something romantic. In line with this, United Colors of Benetton launches two of their newest fragrances, Let’s Move for men and Let’s Love for women. These fragrances will challenge us more to come up with different ways to move and love. Why not click the photos below to find out this latest offer. ♥

AyosDito.ph i-Ball Event

 P6080362 P6080374

AyosDito.ph, one of the preferred online classified ads for Filipinos, had recently organized its first Ayos Dito i-Ball, a blogger event at the COWO Asia in Ortigas Center, Pasig City. This blogger event celebrated the fun and unique Filipino lifestyle just like how Filipinos buy and sell online. It was hosted by DJ Tony Toni of Magic 89.9 and graced by the latest IT-Girl Solenn Heussaff and actor John Medina.

This event was organized as part of their appreciation to bloggers who have experienced the website and were instrumental in bringing users to their site. A short question and answer was conducted by Jon Santico (General Manager of the company behind the site) and Tanya Cabbab (AyosDito.ph's Marketing Manager) who's also been very accommodating to all the guests.

The food served was a twist on our regular Pinoy comfort food like Tempura Quail eggs, Sisig tacos, Chicken pate on Fita, Tuyo Pasta, Angus Corned Beef Pan de sal and the blockbuster ice cream in three flavors - Sapin Sapin, Champorado and Mangga't Suman by Sebastian's. They were also generous to give out raffle prizes such as Polaroid camera and Apple iPad. Well, none of them landed to my ever precious hands. LOL

Presenting...my plate! That sisig taco is heavy, enough to sustain you the whole night.
As I've mentioned on my tweet, this is my first time to try this sapin sapin ice cream! It tasted like the real kakanin.

Solenn made all the guys go crazy, she's too gorgeous to describe.
That guy who won the one minute date is much envied.

These shot glasses look dangerous especially for me who doesn't party anymore.
It wasn't bad though, just take a quick shot and the bottom flavour will save you.

Met cool bloggers that night. It's more fun sa AyosDito! ^^

Anyway, I personally accessed AyosDito.ph years ago when I was looking for a condo to rent and I must say that the experience is easy and hassle free. Items you wish to sell can be posted on their site for FREE. Categories listed here are vehicles, properties, electronics, and home & personal items and these are itemized per region in the Philippines. Generally, browsing items for sale or rent are not confusing. Of course, just be smart enough not to get impressed by something that's too good to be true.

Thank you so much AyosDito.ph for this invite and I hope to see you all again!
You may visit their website http://www.ayosdito.ph/ and check out their latest deals.

Be Body Beautiful At Any Age

Inasmuch as I would like to doll up during formal gatherings, I oftentimes feel that even the most expensive piece of clothing I can afford will never look good on me. This lack of confidence resulted to a lot of missed social events and emotional outburst. My weight has never been so challenging until I gave birth to my daughter. The recovery period for a mother who's undergone a C section is lengthened, thus, a more prolonged time to work out on unwanted fats. Gone were the days when I’m not bothered on what to wear or what size to choose. It’s dreadful for me to shop for clothes especially doing that 90 degree turn in front of the mirror! Read: Frustrated.

Having a circle of friends of the same age also meant sequence of weddings, like a domino effect. Just like my "couple" friends who plan to tie the knot this and the following year, I also consider their weddings as my special dates wherein being at my most pleasant is necessary. I'll make sure not to skip any of those dates anymore but that also means leaving myself with no choice but to face my worries. Obviously, I can't wear anything fit. I don't want to see pictures of me with big bulges on my stomach.

It's really inevitable that our body structure changes as we grow older no matter how much holistic we are in following diet rules. Mine was just one example and you might have experienced hearing your Mom or sister freaking out because of wrinkles, added two pounds because they gave in to their cravings or as simple as not fitting into newly-laundered jeans. It's a sad fact but even if we try hard to manipulate the situation, it's still bound to happen.

This led me to do my personal research as early as I can ( via malling and net surfing) and I've seen Wacoal’s Slightly Long Padded bra. For me, it's like wearing a magical undergarment that will help me fit instantly into clothes I can’t imagine wearing right now. Neither a tube dress nor a strapless gown will give me discomfort as your upper looks very secured plus my post-natal belly fats will be flattened too. It creates an illusion that helps you get some curves as I am personally struggling on that and within tummy area. With Wacoal’s help and expertise, I’m sure I can grace more events in full confidence.

As I continue to work on my weight loss program, I've learned that we can still feel gorgeous inside out by choosing the best undergarment that lifts our femininity, hence a product that believes the value of being a woman. Wacoal intends to help women like me so who knows, this post might just be considered. ^^

{ Here's to share some of the wedding photos I kept. Looking forward to more this 2012. }

Much Love,
