Prepping Up for Summer

Today is the first Sunday of March 2013 and we now look forward to the start of another red hot summer. You're probably doing your countdown  until you soon hit the beach or that summer destination you and your friends saved up for. That makes me terribly excited especially that I haven't been to the beach for two years straight. Tsk! Anyway, I had some free time earlier to do on line window shopping care of Zalora and was instantly hyped up when I saw their latest toddler's collection. Honestly, I can't be more excited for summer!!

What's In My Bag?

To support Zalora's ongoing contest "What's In Your Bag", I decided to join myself and have fun. I've been wanting to post something like this before but I don't know why it never happened. So let me give you an idea on what I usually carry on a regular basis. I must tell you though that I only bring a few of these items when I'm with the little daughter as most of the stuff inside are for her. All if not most, actually.

What's In My Bag

  1. I love tote bags or anything really big because I also use it as my baby bag on weekends. Obviously this one is Michael Kors, one of my favorites.
  2. That pink Clinique make up pouch was given to me by my sister-in-law where I place all of my kikay stuff.
  3. A book "The Five Love Languages" was lent to me by my close friend Abby, which I aim to finish reading this week.
  4. My maroon eyeglasses. In case you're not aware, I have astigmatism and both eyes on 175.
  5. Victoria's Secret Love Spell body mist.
  6. Green Cross sanitizing gel. If you notice Dad's on the upper right, those were sanitizing hand wipes from their buffet. (I hoarded, haha!)
  7. Colgate Plax mouthwash.
  8. My water-based Celeteque facial moisturizer.
  9. For make ups, I always bring my Clinique compact with blush and two shades of eye-shadows inside.
  10. Lip collections - my Aqualicious lipstick from Fashion21, Maybelline Watershine and Maybelline Baby Lips.
  11. My In2it waterproof eyebrow color.
  12. My Laneige Snow BB which I've been using recently. Beside it is my Maybelline Clear Smooth Aqua Gel foundation.
  13. My ELF Waterproof Eyeliner pen in coffee.
  14. My house keys.
  15. My iPhone 4s.
  16. My purple pen in 0.3 ballpoint.
  17. My Paganini lavender hairbrush.
  18. My Liz Claiborne wallet which is nowhere found here. I didn't notice that my little girl grabbed it. Ha ha!
Oh my, 18 items? And more of it if there's umbrella, camera, etc etc inside? Ha ha! This is fun, I think I should do this more often. Anyway, if you wish to join Zalora's contest, here's the link and follow the instructions. You can submit your entry until midnight! Join na! :)

Much Love,

Zalora Mini Haul

Let me walk you through with this one of a kind customer experience I got from Zalora. I initially chose a flask watch from Tomato added to my cart last July. There are tons of selections to choose from Zalora online shop so I felt really challenged to pick my very first order. Unfortunately, I wasn't home when my package came and forgot to instruct Mom to check the item for me. Much to my disappointment, the watch doesn't work despite series of performance checks. My first resort was to email their customer support and took a while to get my concern addressed which is understandable due to the recent flood incidents in Manila. Nevertheless, I'd like to commend the Zalora Expert named Luisa who consistenly monitored and even escalated the issue to have my item credited. I really wish we have that kind of customer service at all times. When I finally received an email acknowledging my store credit (which I wasn't expecting at all because for most stores it will only be an item replacement), I immediately browsed the latest offers of Zalora online shop. Isn't it nice when customer expectations are exceeded? Money wasted - crossed out, customer satisfaction - three big checks!

So here, let me share my recent mini haul of fashion accessories. I'm so happy they offered these bangles from Cole Vintage and House of Luxe. These will definitely contribute more color to fabulous outfits or even say hello to old wardrobes.

I'm so itching to use them now!

How Short is Shorts?

I've never been shy of flaunting my legs even when I became a Mom. I'm not born long-legged, doesn't even have those sleek ones, but really, I just feel the comfort of wearing shorts anywhere I go. Aside from moving around freely while running some errands in the morning, it can be worn too when anything spontaneous came up with friends or even casual meetings. Most likely, a denim one tops my choice where a plain white tee can be easily paired. I also have this rule that whenever I wear shorts, my top should at least be enough to cover me up. Flaunt some but leave some.

So, what if your job allows you to wear shorts at work? Would you be willing to try at least once? I certainly would! I can imagine people working for glossy magazines, they're just too lucky to show off their fashionable side every day without worrying about clothing restrictions.

Anyways, here are my top four as I gone through the Women's section of Zalora online shop today. What a good way to pair it with blazers, long sleeves and scarves in time for this rainy season!

My ZALORA Wishlist

After receiving such pretty news via email, eagerness to learn more about ZALORA led me to check them online. Little did I know that they were also hosting a wishlist contest. So, before I gear up for that event on Wednesday, let me share my top picks among their wide variety of products.

I immediately went through the women's section and checked their bags, accessories, shoes and watches. Things I want to splurge when paycheck is not limited. They do have a vast showcase and unlike other online shops, this one doesn't consume too much bandwidth. Online shopping is as easy as clicking and dragging!

***

This sexy sunglasses, aside from its usefulness and protection this summer, could be the coolest addition to my 12 collections of wayfarers and aviators.

I can't wear dark sunnies due to my poor eyesight so these shades are perfect for me paired with colorful summer dresses at the beach. I can imagine how lovely my beach photos will be wearing this!
I am quite particular with the brand when it comes to sunglasses because these are the type of stuff we don't really purchase on a regular basis. Consider it as an investment so choose what's tried and tested.

Second pick is this cute spandex tankini.

Enough to cover some skin and flab due to prenatal weight so I believe wearing this will still make me comfortable strutting at the beach, plus it's my favorite color PINK!
I've never been that confident again wearing strings and bikinis so this puts me on the safer side. As they say, regardless of the price and style, the attitude on how you flaunt it makes any piece look great!

Third pick is this white and brown tote bag.

This is perfect for someone like me who carries a lot of stuff in a bag.
Gadgets nowadays mostly own that big space inside that's why I always make sure to get one which I can maximize the whole compartment. If you noticed that long strap, that's one thing I liked too. I can easily hang it on my shoulders especially if I'm with my playful toddler.

Who can go wrong with red flats? Yes, this is my fourth pick.

Not that I stayed away from stilettos but this is perfect for a Mom who does a lot of errands.
Off from work, straight to a bank, do the groceries, pay bills, wait on long queues - how can I not be thankful for flats? The gold details will make it more catchy on my feet. Style and comfort combined into one.

Last, but nevertheless the least,  is this white Breo watch.

This somehow looks sporty but still brings out that chic in you.
I always have a crush on white watches. One who carries it well looks neat for me merely because it's difficult to maintain a clean, stain-free white material.

So, here goes my wishlist from ZALORA. Honestly, getting any from the above list is already a special gift for me come Mother's Day. I chose them because these are currently my fashion needs.
I suggest you go register now and enjoy their Php 250 voucher upon signing up. They have a 30-day return policy, free shipping nationwide, same day delivery and COD mode of payment.

Shopping is now made easier even at the comfort of our homes!
