Hello, Bellas!

I know it's been three months and I truly missed this blog. So many things happened according to plans and we are now settled in our new home. Thank God for leading us to the right path in achieving our goals! We praise You for continuously guiding our family.

In the past 8 weeks, I've been also busy decorating our humble abode. This is something I felt deprived living in a condo before, where floor area is very much limited. Although we can opt to transfer to somewhere spacious in CG, we considered the cost and how much money we will be spending in let's say another two to three years. I say, it's really not practical. So we chose an apartment this time. I'll share a few changes we did to make our place more homey.

Meanwhile, I'm leaving you with this photo below. Remember in my not so recent post, I said one bag each year? It wasn't the other brand I've been wanting though but definitely the perfect bag for a busy Mom like me. I find it very useful; big compartment, just sling it on and you're ready to go! Couldn't be any happier having my first ever Coach Peyton Tattersall tote. I believe it was by far the most expensive purchase I did via online shopping. I'm the last to recommend online sellers but you just really need to find a trusted one, else, get someone from the US to buy for you. :-)

Got mine from Karen of BagsForGrabs.

Sending you smiles as we hop to another "ber" month! :)

Great Finds at Cotton On Kids

Cotton On Kids

How the temperature rises in this country during the months of March until May shouldn't be new to us, but even so, it seems like we're still not used to this kind of weather. We still react or even overreact when the office air-condition cannot support the required coldness and it's more difficult to work when you're literally sweating from head to toe. Wait, did I just describe myself? Ha ha! So one thing that could help us in "hot" situation is to choose proper clothing - something really comfortable and light. Adults can somehow manage the heat by just taking a cold shower or buying cold drinks but kids can't. So when hubby suggested to go to Trinoma one weekend, I remembered the newly-opened Cotton On Kids store. I've seen a few of my co-Moms' Instagram photos and I really want to get some pairs for my daughter.

Cotton On Kids

As usual, my ninja self overpowered me so I took photos discreetly. I fell in love with these colors as soon as we stepped in. They all looked like cotton candies clothing edition. Whut? They have almost everything you need this summer season plus they're on SALESuddenly hyperventilates
I did all the sorting part while I left Daphne with her Dad and Lola. Little did I know that there's a corner spot where kids could watch cartoons. I was calling her attention so to check what size suits her but she's glued like that. They seem to have smaller sizes because we got size 5 for tops and 6 for shorts. Or is she that tall/big for her age?

Cotton On Kids

She finally joined us choose her shorts and we picked that denim ones, priced at P899 (not on sale). We got her pink and yellow tops for two for P800 (sale). Quite a steal! Then she went back to her seat like she's just watching at home. What other stores offer entertainment corner for kids? This is really helpful to us mothers.

I was  supposed to check the watch displays but my hubby's too excited to go to his favorite stores. Overall, Cotton On Kids is a must visit store in Trinoma. With a spacious shop and neat visual merchandise, you'll surely not leave with empty paper bags. Their sales staff are pleasant and very accommodating too.

Prepping Up for Summer

Today is the first Sunday of March 2013 and we now look forward to the start of another red hot summer. You're probably doing your countdown  until you soon hit the beach or that summer destination you and your friends saved up for. That makes me terribly excited especially that I haven't been to the beach for two years straight. Tsk! Anyway, I had some free time earlier to do on line window shopping care of Zalora and was instantly hyped up when I saw their latest toddler's collection. Honestly, I can't be more excited for summer!!

SM Kid's Fashion Warehouse Sale

So we finally experienced the SM Kid's Warehouse Sale in Megamall. Well, if you ask me, I don't really pay much attention on these events until two years back. Although I must admit, I am a person who's excitement is always heightened by this four letter word: S-A-L-E. It severely doubled the fun if and when my shopping agenda is all about my daughter. Who cares about long queues and crowded shopping malls if you can hunt treasures that don't skimp quality regardless of a cheaper price, diba? The experience was totally fun especially that Daphne's been greeting everyone with a loud "Hi!" repeatedly.

Since we went there at past 12 noon, Mama and I were literally starving before 3pm. Good thing Dad's merienda buffet was just on time. This is actually the first time I tried the merienda buffet and for the price of Php189 per head, it wasn't bad at all! They had fries, burgers, kakanin and banana cue, chicken and beef noodles, dimsum and a lot more. Puto, dinuguan, palabok and carbonara were the blockbuster dishes. Sulit is the word!

Quick Visit to Gift Gate

Whenever I think of a Gift Gate store, pictures of Hello Kitty or Sanrio novelty items and Swatch watches immediately flash on my mind. So when hubby and I decided that it's time for our little girl to learn how to wear a watch, I thought of getting one from Gift Gate. Off we went to Greenhills branch.

The store didn't fail to awaken my kiddie side and since almost everything is pink, I started hyperventilating! LOL! But kidding aside, I really find all the displays simply adorable. And if funds will permit, I wish to hoard  a lot of them for my little one.

IMG_0117

See those cute bags? I also saw some glass cup set which I wish to buy next time. Hihi!

IMG_0116

Check out these lovely Hello Kitty watches - all PINK! Most of them are for ages 3 and above and price range is from Php1,999 to Php2,999. Quite expensive noh? The one at the left side is what I first chose for Daphne but I thought that the design and the leather strap is not yet suited for her age, so I asked the staff to find something with a round plastic case and rubber strap.

IMG_0115

I also got her a personalized letter bracelet with floral charms from Eiko accessories.

IMG_0118

The little girl seemed excited as I am, struggling from her Dad's arms. All she wants is to run around and touch all the displays. We're just lucky that she wasn't screaming unlike other kids inside. Or maybe not for now?

IMG_0120

So here's our mini haul for today. She felt uncomfortable at first but forgot about everything in less than 30minutes. I'm just happy that I can let her wear kiddie accessories from this day onward, although wearing headband and ponytail still remains a tough challenge. ^^

Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday!

Much Love,

Classic Savory

It's been raining cats and dogs since last week and this bed weather would rather want me to stay under the sheets and play with my kid. Besides, we were both sick for three days so I don't want to risk her health by going out today. Talk about last week, we were so happy to experience the Great Northern Sale. It's funny to hear the cab driver's comment when we asked him to take us to SM North. It goes something like: "Nagsawa na po siguro kayo sa Megamall, Ma'am?". LOL! He is quick to assume because we live in Mandaluyong where a lot of malls are situated yet we wanted to go somewhere far.

Like I said in my previous post, SM North can accommodate thousands of shoppers during sale events and the bumper to bumper traffic proves it all. However, the impatience caused by the traffic in EDSA was immediately replaced with BIG smiles. It's difficult to frown once you spotted stores that give as high as 70% discount! It was also a good opportunity to shop for Christmas presents as early as now. I am quite thrifty with my personal needs but I didn't mind at all when I shopped for my little girl! I am such a spoiler Mom! We got all her clothes from Osh Kosh. They were up to 50% so I really can't let that pass. ^^ I bought myself a pair of sandals from Cabrelli which is half the price, a few additions to my make ups and undershirts for hubby's work uniforms from SM Department Store. Glad that it didn't take me that long to pay in the cashier's area. I noticed too that men's section is less crowded so overall, the shopping experience was fun. My little girl enjoyed the loud music at The Block Atrium, she kept running and dancing with some kids.

Of course after shopping, the next stop is to feed our rumbling tummies. That was around 3pm yet most restaurants are still full. We saw a free table in Classic Savory resto so we settled in since we liked our food experience before. If I'm not mistaken, I was on my second trimester of pregnancy when we tried it in Anonas Branch. My lil' one took her menu as if checking if there's milk listed there. :-)

They serve delectable Chinese foods. They were first established in Escolta in 1950s which originally started as panciteria. After over fifty years, the family decided to name it as Classic Savory.

This is mostly everyone's all time favorite, the Classic Savory Chicken, mainly because of its tenderness and juiciness. The meat however isn't that tasteful for me unlike the skin but the gravy saves it all. It doesn't seem like any fast food gravy.

These bite-sized crunchy Shanghai rolls paired with their special hot sauce can already sustain you for lunch.

 P1011027

Hubby and I both love their Long Life Pancit Canton. I wasn't expecting that my lil' one will like it too. The sauce is overflowing in this picture but was just about right when you mix it with the noodles. We forgot how big this order is and it took them a while to prepare, so more than half of it was taken home as we were already full when it was served.

 P1011028

These pictures below were taken while waiting for the Pancit and it was freezing cold inside. (I looked so pale as my lipstick has been washed.) The rain poured continuously in the afternoon so we started to worry on how to get home. Nevertheless, it was a great shopping and food experience during the Great Northern sale. Reached home around 7pm and thankfully the traffic behaved well.

Foodspotting: Pepper Lunch

Once again, Tuesday is dedicated for "me-time". I believe everyone needs it not just because you're bored doing nothing or stressed with work. For me, it's like a medium to rejuvenate yourself, to explore new interests, to balance your perspective on things and situations, and to gauge social independence. This could also serve as a day to cook up surprises for your loved ones, right? A few hours won't hurt being away from home, as long as of course you inform everyone who might be waiting for you.

If I'm not mistaken, this is my fourth time to be at Pepper Lunch. Something is obviously bringing me back here. Hubby and I visited their branches in Eastwood and Mall of Asia. I liked their wall prints. They were like huge paper trays neatly pasted on the walls.

Spending some "me-time" :)

Spice me up

I couldn't recall what I've ordered with our previous visits but this one below really left a mark. I got Beef Curry Pepper rice with cheese. Boy, it was smoking when they served it to me. I read something inside that their secret to perfection with their meals is this electromagnetic plate. I actually thought it was just an ordinary but unconventionally shaped sizzling plate. Their curry rice is so good! It's not the usual red colored curry powder and I really liked how they perfectly measured the right amount of powder on my rice. Bad thing is that I only settled for water and their cups were too small. I felt like my mouth was flaming. I just love it! I love spicy foods!

Foodie for today

Indeed, I enjoyed my food today after a long walk looking for good buys. Just when I was about to leave the mall, hubby text-ed that he is on his way home, but before we met, I squeezed an ample amount of time to check out Forever 21. Ha ha! I didn't buy one (as it takes me minutes if not hours to choose an item), but I still aim to get something chic here. :-)

Like!

Enjoy the rest of the week guys! :)
