Go Nuts Donuts: Celebrating 10 Years of Delicious Creations

 

Go Nuts Donuts celebrated its 10th anniversary in the business. To celebrate this milestone, latest products were launched such as the Anniversary Donuts, CroNuts, GND Spreads, and Twists & Brittle.

  

Being in the industry for ten years is definitely a tough journey. And to keep up in the market, they also introduced their CroNuts in 6 delicious flavors such as Sugar Coated, Chocolate Almond, Peaches and Cream, Strawberry Jam, Apple Cinnamon and Blueberry Cream Cheese. I'm telling you, they're huge cronuts and very filling! I personally loved the Chocolate Almond, yummiest til the very last bite!

 

Truly a melt-in-your-mouth masterpiece. Served with love, delivered with satisfaction.

 

Ten new donut flavors were also introduced: Strawberry Sunshine, Green Tea, Peanut Butter Caramel, Chocolate Mint, Hazelnut Crunch, Mocha Lite, Smores, Sea Salt Caramel, White Chocolate Claze Lite and Lemon Curd. 

 

S'mores and Green Tea were my top two favorites! With the right amount of sweetness and distinct taste, I'm sure this will be a hit to consumers.

 

And since there is an ongoing craze on chocolate and peanut butter spreads, Go Nuts Donuts also innovated the GND Spreads. They have Cookie Butter Creamy, Cookie Butter Crunchy, Choco Cookie Butter Creamy, Choco Cookie Butter Crunchy and Choco Hazelnut. A spoonful of goodness will take us back to childhood!

In line with the celebration, Go Nuts Donuts will rollback their prices from how much they were ten years ago. That's Php15 each from Novermber 8 - 17, 2013.

Cookie Butter by Go Nuts Donuts

I was purely impressed upon first seeing Gonuts Donuts' branch in SM Makati located at the Ground Level. They were adjacent to the mall's entrance/exit doors so they are strategically visible to a passing crowd of customers, but what makes them a head-turner is their market-wise product display.
Plus their clean window stands were packed with colorful and mouth-watering donuts, each smothered with a generous amount of toppings.

A selection of iced or hot coffee and non-coffee drinks will also greet you as you reached the counter, truly a perfect addition for your donuts cravings. And when I say "cravings" - let's excuse the diet memorandum in the meantime.

No wonder they even captured my little one's attention, who suddenly gasped "I love donuts!" as if talking to the tray full of colourfully sprinkled donuts. That was by the way our first time to hear her say those words. Awesome!

 

But this post is actually dedicated for the scrumptious and much talked about Cookie Butter donut. In the past quarter, we were stricken with the cookie butter phenomenon, flooding our Instragram timelines with Speculoos-stained-spoon  or unopened Speculoos jar photos. Everyone, all of a sudden, wants to hoard cookie butter jars  and I didn't know how or where to order, which is somehow fine because they say it's just overrated. That didn't stop the hype though! So when I was invited to finally try Gonuts Donuts' Cookie Butter flavor, I said to myself, THIS IS IT!

And.it.was.love.at.first.sight.

I took home a dozen treat of Cookie Butter donuts. 

Such a happy day for a rookie cookie butter monster me! Ha! 

Surprisingly, they accept deliveries too!

See the amount of thickness and the evenly distributed cookie butter spread on them. They were that thick and consistent but I did not experience that icky feel, like when you eat a spoonful of some greasy peanut butter from our local groceries. When I opened the boxes as soon as we got home, it was soft and quite melted due to scorching heat, so I preferred cooling it in the fridge for a few minutes (like the ones below) to avoid a messy one-on-one donut sesh. 

Check out this much closer picture. It is honestly more tempting when you see it personally. Though I believe it has the right amount of sweetness, I think it is best paired with a hot, dark coffee to neutralise the taste. Due to over excitement, I forgot to ask the price of the Cookie Butter donut but I'm guessing it belongs to their Prima donuts or the most expensive line.

Go Nuts Donuts: Donut Talk Bloggers Event

 

 The brand is most definitely not new to you, however for an 80's kid like me, I somehow grew up with another brand which is commonly mentioned in households. A few years back, another brand paved the way in Manila which Pinoys, I think, dramatically learned to love. You're never an adult if you've never shared the experience taking that colorful box at home for your nieces and nephews, agree?

So, what makes Go Nuts Donuts stand out in the industry? What are your deciding factors in choosing their food items? Honestly, I was surprised that Go Nuts Donuts is proudly Filipino-made. It's interesting to learn that it originated from the Philippines yet it has this international appeal. They evolved in the market despite of giant brands already established globally.

 

Go Nuts Donuts is also the only brand offering sugar-free donuts in the country. It's definitely a haven for people who consistently monitors their sugar level. No taste buds are deprived from relishing their luscious delicacy!

The ones above are samples of their sugar-free donuts while below are their fudgy loops. Amazing Glaze for me is the soul-mate of hot coffee, fudgy loops on the other hand can be your best friends when in dire of a happy food. Who can say no to choco frosting and candy toppers? *drooling now*

 

I appreciate those who incorporate local ingredients to their brand. This truly made me proudly Filipino! Who else on Earth are abundant of these tropical fruits?

The brand has recently replaced their tag line to: MORE THAN JUST GREAT DONUTS!

Yes, you got it, they now have more food choices! Pizza Donuts, Pocket Pies and Summer Koolers are now added to the menu. They also offer seasonal donuts, ideal for Filipinos who keenly observe family traditions and special occasions. Did I hear "Happy Mother's Day"?

 

I was lucky to be invited as one of the participants of their exclusive VIP introduction of product line-up and was really happy to be greeted  this afternoon with the wonderful press kits delivered to my doorstep. Not to mention the dozen treats we will devour tomorrow!
