Pandora

Just this February, my sister-in-law from Australia told us that the Pandora branch near them will be on a holiday sale. Although I wanted to respond quickly "yes, please get me one!", I tried to contain to my excitement hoping someone would humbly offer it as a gift. LOL! I've posted my birthday wish list last year here so the hubby surely had an idea how much I'd love to own this charm bracelet. Imagine how my heart melted when he asked if I'm interested to have one as my early Mother's day present. Oh my, isn't it the perfect occasion? The search for the perfect design immediately started.

Pandora offers bracelets in 14K gold, sterling silver and leather. They also offer a wide selection of charms made of high quality cubic zirconians and murano glass. Fast-forward April, my box finally arrived. It comes with a paper bag screaming Pandora, a dainty jewellery box and a care card; everything in pearl white. Opening the box for the first time was a sight to behold!

I picked the starter bracelet in Sterling Silver Parrot Clasp Charm design. A starter bracelet is a plain bracelet without the charms. This design can be compared to a solid and shiny silver cord. The price range may depend on which store it was purchased but we got this for $75AUD. It is also important to measure your wrist properly. Being on the heavier side, I decided to have the 19cm length.

My personal thoughts:

Initially, I was disheartened when I tried it on. The size looked tad short for my wrist! I did a quick research and found out that there should only be an adequate space between your bracelet and your wrist, like being able to put your thumb in. I checked a few of my old charm bracelets and little did I know they were almost the same length. Perhaps there is a sort of optical illusion once the bracelet is full. The cost is a bit expensive if compared to local silver jewellery brands but for someone who looks for exceptional craftsmanship and durability, I believe Pandora delivers the superior quality they promise. I haven't worn my bracelet yet so I cannot say if it easily accumulates dirt, especially during dry season when we are always covered in sweat, nor if it's easy to clean. Yet for someone who wants to get hold of a modern charm bracelet, I would say Pandora is something we can practically customize and still perfectly describe the sentimental side of the wearer. Having said that, expect me to have my first few charms that signify motherhood and child. I can't wait to have those seven charms I picked for my very own design!
