Holiday Chika

Few days before Christmas, hubby and I decided to take Daphne to the mall. It's our yearly thing to buy her new sets of pambahay and pantulog clothes every December because as we all know, mabilis lumaki ang mga bagets. Sometimes we even forget to let her wear her other shoes only to find out masikip na pala. She has certain favorites na kasi that's why she keep wearing them most of the time.

So that one Sunday, we splurged a bit for our unica. In fairness, no guilt feelings talaga pag para sa bata. We didn't buy her too much toys though kasi she's had enough for the whole year, even if there's no occasion. I also thought, let the ninongs and ninangs take care of that part this month. Hahaha!

That shoes she's wearing is from Barbie and she really liked it a lot! Feel na feel nya makipag-habulan with her Daddy kasi super comfy ng shoes. I want her to try boots sana, I saw a pink suede from Elle,  but isn't she too young for that? And besides, I don't see the "kaartehan" part pa of my little girl, so we opted to buy her something really suitable for her kiddie activities. Besides, naku ang tatay ayaw sa mga arte-arteng ganyan. Basta, I'm glad she liked it and she was game na game pa to pose with Hello Kitty at the Atrium.

She chose those accessories from SM, I noticed her fondness on colorful necklaces and bracelets. I asked Mama if I was like that at her age and the answer was no. Anong meron? I think she sees it on Disney princesses. Few months from now, she'll be turning 3 years old, I think alam ko na kung ano dapat ang theme.

Also, days before that, we were surprised with our super good friend, Theng. We haven't seen her for years! The last time we saw her was in SM North Edsa way way back and it was unplanned. I totally understand naman kasi I came from a retail industry and your off is mostly on a weekday. Take note, minsan once a week lang ang off mo.

I'm happy to see her again and that she's doing great with the chosen career as an Operations Manager. Sya lang yata yung nag-fulfill sa course namin as Management graduates. Mine was absolutely different and highly technical.

The night was spent with love and laughter. It's fun reminiscing the past, especially all the weird things you did because of immaturity! Non-stop chikahan to make up for the lost years, ang saya lang talaga. And my Mom was happy to see her din.
And the end of the day, what matters is who chose to stay loyal as friends. We only need a few but those people are the ones we deserve to have. Nakaka-touch lalo to see them during the holidays kasi it puts more meaning in celebrating it.

Btw, Ninong Chris gave Daphne not just one but two tubs of Chef Tony's Gourmet pop corns!
Patikim pa lang daw yan sa inaanak nya. Bongga diba?! :-)

Have a merry celebration, Mommies!
