Wham! Burgers

Wham! Burgers

We all remember how we raved about different burger joints few years ago. In fact, Wham! Burgers was one of them. I first tried Wham! Burgers in their Katipunan branch. However, no matter how much I liked their burger patties, if there's no enough tables and chairs for a group of hungry customers, might as well check another place to eat within the vicinity, right?

At least, that's a different story when you dine in Shangri La branch. Here, they can accommodate a minimum of 20 customers. I was first seated near the kitchen door, where in 10 minutes you will smell like a yummy grilled patty due to poor ventilation, so I took another seat near the counter. I saw this wall frame of DC Comic's superheros who we all loved, reading comic strips in one corner with unsound effects like "Zap!", "Wham!", "Kapow!". After a few minutes of daydreaming in Wonder Woman suit, my order finally came.

This box of fries may look a bit small compared to our friendly neighborhood fries but the quantity is much different. I love thick, crunchy french fries with potato skin.

It literally came as a big surprise when my wrapped burger was served. I totally forgot how it used to be that huge! Wham! Burger with Cheese is 1/3 pound grilled burger patty with cheese, tomato, lettuce. And just like the old times, it is juicy, yummy and heavy! That distinct taste about grilled burgers is what I truly love especially paired with dripping amount of mustard. I didn't finish my huge burger so decided to take it home.

Happy to know how Wham! Burgers maintained the good taste of their burger patty. Price range may be a bit higher compared to other fast food burgers, but you know, quality comes with a cost these days. Make sure you have enough room in your tummy when you come here. One third pound of beef is no joke.

  1. Tried Wham more than a year ago, for some reasons, I found their burgers a bit dry. :|
