It was a day full of love, well wishes, happiness and excitement for my best friend Joyce, who is soon giving birth to baby boy James Alfred. Thanks to our event organiser Filsyn for taking charge on all the party ideas from decorating the venue, food displays, games, souvenirs, etc. Career kung career mare, good job!
The baby shower was just an intimate gathering of her closest friends and family. We started with three games and us participants were all laughing because it was really unique and mind-boggling. I wish we were allowed to Google the answers. Ha ha! That's probably the catch if a college professor prepared the baby shower games. :-)
Before going to the venue, we all agreed to do a potluck and it's really good because when you combine all the food, if becomes a complete meal for all. We were eating from 4pm til evening!
That day, we also aimed for future kids party favours and event organising. It's something I really want to try ever since! For next year's celebration, I'm planning for a DIY party for my little girl. There are so many things you can get from browsing through social media platforms. Very helpful to jump-start our creative juices!
We also brought welcome gifts for the baby boy and here's mine. It really excites me to buy baby gifts though this one was kinda new to me again as I'm used to buying stuff for girls. Sayang the others didn't make it that day. Nevertheless, we all enjoyed this celebration and all guests were entertained... and went home with a happy tummy!
To my best friend Joyce, I love you and you know that. We have this bond that's been tried and tested all through these years and forever I'll be thankful for having you in good times and in bad. I may have not seen you in months and for that I really want to apologise but I'm happy to see that a lot of changes transpired in you as an expectant Mother. You only have a few more weeks to go so just be patient, you and hubby will soon cradle him in your arms. I pray that you may have a safe delivery as we welcome your unico hijo with much joy and anticipation. This queues for more kiddie parties for us. Don't ever forget that I'm just one dial away if you needed motherhood tips.
